A lot of you have really taken your personal development to the next level.
It’s one thing to know our type, and another to know it well.
There’s something that’s very rarely talked about when it comes to the Enneagram.
Here’s the thing: We all want to grow. But the thing about growth is, very rarely is it comfortable or painless.
Much like building new muscle, growing ourselves personally, spiritually, and emotionally can be painful; it doesn’t feel natural or comfortable. When we feel that resistance, what do we do? We go back to what feels comfortable.
But nothing grows in comfort.
If you didn’t know already, there’s way more to the Enneagram than just your personal type.
Each type is connected to wings, stress numbers, and growth numbers. And it’s in the growth numbers that we can access our growth and leadership superpowers.
The goal is to be the healthiest version of yourself and your type.
The next level is to embody another type: your growth number. Although most of you see me in my growth number all the time, it’s because I’m always pushing it—and every day it’s uncomfortable.
In this episode, I go through all of the growth numbers for each Enneagram type.
The thing about growth is, very rarely is it comfortable, very rarely is it without some pain.
The goal is to be the healthiest version of yourself.
Eights really are and can be world class leaders when they get themselves really in a healthy spot.
If you want to grow then know it’s going to get uncomfortable and that’s okay.
I want you to know that when you’re loving, leading and parenting a 3, they don’t love to be slowed down.
When I see a 5 stepping into their 8 those are who I want surrounding me.
My 7, my enthusiast, you guys resist structure because you want to make sure you are not trapped.
The 7 in a growth pattern takes on the healthy 5, they become the investigator.
Pushing that 8 into that compassion and that empathetic and quiet calmness is not natural.
9’s very often don’t even know what they want because their whole existence has been in keeping the peace.
