 From Rehab to Multi-Millionaire

I didn’t learn this in a boardroom or from a bestselling business book.

Thirteen years ago, I was in rehab. I had walked away from a lucrative career in the car industry, and headhunters were after me. On paper, I was a hot commodity…female, tough, successful in a male-dominated world. But I knew if I went back, it would destroy me.

In that season, my therapist introduced me to the Enneagram. I resisted….HARD. (imagine telling your therapist to go fu*k herself…)  I wasn’t interested in a “cutesy personality thing.” I was there to change my life! But she challenged me: “What if this is the thing that finally helps you get out of the box your best thinking has kept you in?”

Within days, I saw the truth. The Enneagram wasn’t about categories. It was a mirror. A compass. A language I didn’t know I had been searching for my entire life…since i was a nine year old girl.

Six months later, on the exact day I hit a sobriety milestone, I stumbled (and resisted) into network marketing. And while I had zero social media presence (400 Facebook friends, no Instagram), no track record, and no online sales experience, I had something most people didn’t: a tool that let me speak to anyone in a way they felt seen & understood.

I wasn’t the person who enrolled hundreds of people. I’ve never been a ‘turn&burn’ kind of girl. In fact, my first million dollars came with only 82 people. But those 82 people turned into 15,000 within two years…because when you build with credibility & trust, duplication happens naturally.

Today, that organization has grown to over 120,000 people, and I’ve earned over $5 million in that one company.

Not because I had a secret script.
Not because I “hustled harder.”
But because I learned how to talk to people in the way they were meant  to be heard.


Why the Enneagram Is the Ultimate Business Advantage

When I look back at those first few years of building, it wasn’t the hustle that made me a millionaire. It wasn’t clever scripts or a polished strategy. It was the way I learned to see people…and to speak in a way they could actually receive.

The Enneagram became my secret weapon. It showed me that sales wasn’t about pushing a product. It was about understanding what someone truly valued. For one person, it was the chance to contribute. For another, it was the drive to achieve. For someone else, it was the security of knowing they could count on something solid. Once I could speak to those deeper motives, selling stopped feeling like “selling.” It became connection.

It also shifted how I led. Before, I could  lead everyone just like me…fast, direct, intense. But not everyone is wired that way. (including my children) The Enneagram gave me nine different lenses, and that changed everything. I could meet people where they were, not where I thought they should be. And when people feel led in a way that honors who they are, they stay.

That’s what most people miss. Million-dollar businesses aren’t built on flashy launches or one big viral moment. They’re built on trust, on retention, on keeping people engaged long after the excitement fades. And when conflict came up…as it always does—the Enneagram gave me the ability to see both sides, to diffuse tension, and to keep teams intact instead of fractured.

And here’s the part that really mattered: I couldn’t be the bottleneck. I had to multiply myself. The Enneagram gave me a way to pass that connection down—to teach others how to lead with the same depth, the same integrity. That’s why my first 82 people became 15,000. That’s why i had a hand in the path for 8 other millionaires in my organization (represented by 6 different enneagram types, and not one an 8, like me) That’s why my organization grew even when I stepped back..

That’s the advantage. Not information. Not a trick. But a framework that lets you see people for who they are, and lead them in a way that lasts.


From Transactional to Transformational in a Trust-Recession World
